Layout design posibilities

We started from determining what types of light source that is needed the most in the disaster area by laying out the maps of an ideal disaster recover area.

What we had discover is that there are three main types of lighting sources that is needed in the area; Standing street light, on ground slide walk light, and throw away flash light.

Concept development

FInal outcome

After discussion and research, our team decided to have a portable street light that is powered by solar to allow it to place in any location need; it also contain with a small storage for flash lights to allow natural disaster victims to use it when they need to.

Shipping Methods

To allow our product to be shipped easily, we also look into the major shipping methods in the USA to make sure the street light can be easily packed and shipped by different vehicles.

The design includes solar panel on top, 150 LED light under, reflect pad in front and back, transform stand for different situations (soft and hard floor), and a small storage for extra flash light or supplies for the disaster survivors .
