Peng Hsuan Liaw

Industrial Design/Service Design/UX Design

New York, U.S.A.

My name is Peng Hsuan Liaw, a.k.a. Oscar. I was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and moved to the U.S. in 2007. I hold a B.F.A. degree in industrial design and an M.F.A. in service design from Savannah College of Art and Design. I have also completed all doctoral courses for an E.d.D. degree at Grand Canyon University. Additionally, I have earned the Google UX certificate and the Design for the Future Work certificate from Coursera.
My experience includes various fields in food import, non-profit, education, and manufacturing. My roles in these positions have multiple responsibilities, including graphic design, 3D modeling, product photography, product design, design instruction, environmental/cultural research, UX research, wireframing, and information architecture. The collective experience in multiple fields and roles has provided a stable foundation to determine client/user needs from stakeholder, business, and customer perspectives. A holistic understanding of teams highly determines my work behavior; initiating supportive behaviors is my understanding of effective team workflow and communication to deliver high-quality client services.

I have developed a specialty in human-centered design and design education, with or without forms. I have a background in industrial design, service design, UX design, and leadership education.
